Within December 31, 2018 - January 6, 2019 four news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Greeks in Turkey, Greeks, Syrians, Christians and Jews are analyzed.

With the facilitation of Ezgi Koman and Yüce Yöney, children’s place in media, themes and discourses used in representing children, children’s participation in media and children’s rights based journalism were discussed.

As part of “Media Watch on Hate Speech” project, with the participation of Ezgi Koman and Şeyma Özkan, the report examining children’s representation in media was presented in a panel held on December 24 in Havak Hall.

Within October 29 - November 4, 2018 four news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Armenians, Syrians, non-Muslims, Jews and Christians are analyzed.

In the workshop, how hate speech is generated and spread in social media and the possible methods for creating an alternative language to combat such discourse is discussed under the facilitation of Prof.Dr. Aslı Tunç.
