The online workshop series organized under the title of “Countering Hate Speech and Creating Inclusive Discourse in the MENA Region Capacity Building” was held.

The Middle East Region Hate Speech Inclusive Discourse Meeting was held at the Hrant Dink Foundation with the collaboration of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience Europe on 20-21-22 July in Havak Hall.

The workshop titled “Facilitation 101: Designing and facilitating impactful and human-centred gatherings” was held online on December 8, 2021 and led by Clinton du Preez from Anew.

We discussed new and effective communication approaches for civil society organizations, corporate communication strategies, and how to develop a strong core target audience in Sven Gerst's session.

The workshop titled Facilitation 101: Designing and facilitating impactful and human-centred gatherings online will be facilitated by Clinton du Preez from Anew on the 8th December, Wednesday.

Based on the Positive Messengers project, which aims to combat online hate speech for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Europe, experiences about online tools and methods in combating hate speech were shared.

In the panel moderated by Melda Akbaş, discrimination on education and alternative methods had been discussed with the participation of Emrah Kırımsoy, Mehmet Onur Yılmaz, Ada Ümmühan Köse and Ali Koç. 

In the second roundtable meeting on education and discrimination, “needs”, “problems” and “suggestions” in education were discussed with participants consisting of various institutions and independent researchers.

In the panel, the issues of language politics, identity and discrimination in Turkey’s education system were discussed under the moderation of Ayşe Gül Altınay with the participation of Şerif Derince, Elmas Arus and Melisa Soran.

The first roundtable meeting was held in Hrant Dink Foundation and "needs", "problems", "suggestions" and "goals" in education were discussed with participants consisting of various institutions and independent researchers.
