The Hrant Dink Foundation started the project entitled as “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity” in 2022, with the financial support of the European Union and Friedrich Naumann Foundation, and in partnership with Boğaziçi University and Sabancı University. The project aims to create a partnership with different disciplines like linguistics, computer science, social science, the information sector, and civil society by bringing together two pioneering universities in Turkey to combat hate speech, discrimination, and disinformation in digital space.
As part of the series organized within the scope of the project “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity”, the sixth panel titled ‘Alternative Approaches to Combat Hate Speech and Discrimination’ took place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Hrant Dink Foundation’s Havak Hall.
The sixth of the panel series organized within the scope of the project, ‘Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity,’ will be held on Tuesday, 10 September 2024, at the Hrant Dink Foundation’s Havak Hall.
As a part of the workshop series within the scope of the project “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity”, the seventh workshop, “Civil Society and Artificial Intelligence Workshop”, took place on Monday and Tuesday, April 29-30, 2024. The workshop facilitated by Özgür Mehmet Kütküt and Özgür Kurtuluş was held at the Hrant Dink Foundation with participants from various civil society organizations.
As part of the series organized within the scope of the project “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity”, the fifth panel titled ‘Combating Disinformation and Hate Speech: The Role of Digital Activism ’ took place on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Hrant Dink Foundation’s Havak Hall.
As a part of the workshop series within the scope of the project “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity”, the seventh workshop, “Digital Activism for Civil Society Organizations”, took place on Thursday, April 4, 2024. The workshop facilitated by Sally Hammoud was held at the Hrant Dink Foundation with 16 participants from various civil society organizations.
As a part of the workshop series within the scope of the project “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity”, the sixth workshop, “Media Literacy Workshop: Fact or Fiction?” took place on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The workshop facilitated by Elida Zylbeari from Metamorphosis Foundation was held at the Hrant Dink Foundation with six participants aged between 16-22.
The eighth of the workshop series organized within the scope of the project titled ‘Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity’ will be held on April 29-30, 2024.
