Using critical discourse analysis, we evaluated news articles and columns that were published in Turkey’s national and local press in March 2023 that targeted national, ethnic, and religious identities, and LGBTI+ people.

Before the football match that was played between Armenia and Turkey, during the Turkish National Anthem, Armenian fans whistled the anthem and protested it. We analyzed how these acts were reflected in the national and local press in Turkey.

Using critical discourse analysis, we evaluated news articles and columns that were published in Turkey’s national and local press in February 2023 that targeted national, ethnic, and religious identities.

As of February 6, 2023, we observe that the destruction caused by the earthquakes, like all disadvantaged groups, made immigrants and refugees more vulnerable and there is an increase in hate speech against these groups.

The panel titled “Combating Hate Speech and Disinformation Against Social Polarization” took place on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Hrant Dink Foundation’s Havak Hall. 

Within the scope of the project “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity”, the workshop “How to Be a Fact-Checking Influencer?” was held.

The second of the workshop series organized under the scope of the project called “Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity” will be held.
