Using critical discourse analysis, we evaluated news articles and columns that were published in Turkey’s national and local press in February 2023 that targeted national, ethnic, and religious identities.

As of February 6, 2023, we observe that the destruction caused by the earthquakes, like all disadvantaged groups, made immigrants and refugees more vulnerable and there is an increase in hate speech against these groups.

Using critical discourse analysis, we evaluated news articles and columns that were published in Turkey’s national and local press in January 2023 that targeted national, ethnic, and religious identities, and LGBTI+ people.
