The second online workshop on the discussion of news items within the scope of the Media Watch on Hate Speech project was held on December 15, 2020 with the contributions of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

'International Conference on Hate Speech and Discrimination', which was organized with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was held online on 11-12 December 2020.

The first online workshop on discussion of news items within the scope of Media Watch on Hate Speech project was held on November 17, 2020, with facilitation of Ebru Özdeş and Şeyma Özkan from the Project. 

Media watch report includes annual results along with quantitative and qualitative analyses of hate speech data for 2019 and the discriminatory discourse reports which focuses on a topics that stood out in 2019 is now available online.

Within October 16-31, 2020, four articles that news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Armenians, Syrians, and Cypriot Greeks are analyzed.

Within October 1-16, 2020, six articles that news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Armenians, Jews, and Syrians are analyzed.

Within September 1-14, 2020, four articles that news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Armenians, Kurdish, Greeks, non-Muslims and others are analyzed.

Hrant Dink Foundation will hold an online conference titled ‘International Conference on Hate Speech and Discrimination’ on December 11-12, 2020. The deadline for submission of abstracts is September 21st, 2020.

Within August 24-30, 2020, four articles that news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against LGBTI+, Jews, and Greeks are analyzed.
