As part of the Armenian Contemporary Art lecture series, the second event held by Zaven Sargsyan, the director of Sergei Parajanov Museum with Sarkis about the Sergei Parajanov on December 11th, 2018 at the Hrant Dink Foundation.

Zaven Sargsyan made a presentation about Parajanov, he showed many photographs of Parajanov belonging to his different periods of life. While Sargsyan shed light on the biography, achievements and art of Parajanov he also shared his personal memories and stories with Parajanov.  After listening to Zaven’s own Parajanov Sarkis told that what Parajanov means for him by analysing his work.  Sarkis emphasized the significance and uniqueness of Parajanov and shared how he had the power to inspire and influence other artists.  Sarkis paid homage to Parajanov by explaining his influence on his art. He gave some examples of the exhibitions and art works that he created with the influence of Parajanov, like his work in Venice Biennale.
