Between 22-24 November 2018 with the partnership of Houshamadyan and Hrant Dink Foundation a series of events were held in Hrant Dink Foundation Anarat Hığutyun Building. On the 22nd of November, with the participation of Vahe Tachjian from Houshamadyan, a speech was made on about “Houshamadyan: The Ottoman Armenian Heritage”.

Tachjian in his speech, underlined the basic mission of Houshamadyan as reconstructing and preserving the memory of Armenian life in the Ottoman Empire through their research. He also drew attention to the website (www.houshamadyan.org) as the main tool for the collection and preservation of culturally valuable artefacts of all kinds produced by the Ottoman Armenians. Vahe Tachjian's speech was accompanied by Arlet İncidüzen from Houshamadyan Open Digital Archive (ADA).


On 23-24 November an event to collect memory materials was taken place. The participants brought the family materials from Anatolia (old photographs, unpublished memoires, documents, books, any kind of objects, etc.) owned by their family members who lived in Ottoman era.

The Hrant Dink Foundation and Houshamadyan teams digitized or photographed these materials into digital format during the event and returned them to their owners immediately. The collected materials will be published on www.houshamadyan.org
