As a part of the Armenian Contemporary Art lecture series supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the last event held by artist Ruben Malayan who teaches Visual Communication course at American University of Armenia. He organized a panel on Friday, 21 December as a talk and on Saturday 22 December as a calligraphy workshop at Hrant Dink Foundation.

Ruben Malayan talked about the birth and development of Armenian Calligraphy and also touched on the current situation of the calligraphy tradition in the panel. 

On Saturday 22 December between 11.00-15.00, Armenian Calligraphy Workshop organized at Hrant Dink Foundation. Participants experienced a baseline level of calligraphic writing of Armenian letters by Ruben Malayan.
