In the third talk of conceptual discussion series  held on January 22, 2018, moderated by Olcay Akyıldız, Feryal Saygılıgil and Alev Özkazanç discussed the relation of feminist and queer thought with discourse.

In the second talk of conceptual discussion series held on January 15, 2018, moderated by Murat Cankara, Sibel Irzık and Seval Şahin discussed the relationship between literature and discourse.

In the first talk of conceptual discussion series, moderated by Nur Betül Çelik, Nazlı Ökten and Ferda Keskin discussed the notion of discourse and the relationship between discourse and politics.

Istanbul Policy Center and Asulis Discourse, Dialogue, Democracy Laboratory held a panel with the participation of Timothy Garton Ash, Ayşe Kadıoğlu, Yaman Akdeniz and Zeynep Arslan.

The panel was held with the participation of Jonathon Lee, Communication Coordinator of European Roma Rights Center, and Turkey Coordinator of the Global Media Monitoring Project Prof. Dr. Nezih Orhon.

In the panel 'Combating Discriminatory Discourse: Theoretical Discussions & European Experience regarding Hate Speech Laws', the boundaries between freedom of expression and hate speech and European hate speech laws were discussed.

With the contributions of Hakan Ataman and Eda Bekçi, the discriminatory and exclusionary discourse in the news and opinion columns covering the Syrian refugees and the concepts related to asylum were discussed.

In the panel moderated by Fuat Keyman, with the participation of Susan Benesch and Dr. Elda Brogi, the notion of "dangerous speech" and practices of monitoring pluralism in media are discussed. 

The panel on “Discrimination and Hate on Media: Social media, representation of difference and activism against discrimination” was held with the participation of Dr. Gavan Titley and Ronald Eissens. 

The panel discussing the ways in which hate speech is produced in traditional media and social media took place with the participation of Elisabeth Eide and László Földi in the moderation of Itır Erhart.

The panel took place with the participation of Teun van Dijk, one of the world's most prominent scholars in the field of critical discourse studies and Charles Husband, internationally known with his work on media and ethnic diversity.

The conference held on 21-22 March 2012 at Istanbul Bilgi University and Kadir Has University took place with the participation of Dr. Sejal Parmar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Arsan and Mahmut Çınar. 

With the participation of academics and journalists working on issues of discrimination, racism, discourse, media ethics and freedom of expression, the conference "Wounding Words and Acts: Hate Crimes and Hate Speech" was held.
