Within the scope of the project titled 'Utilizing Digital Technology for Social Cohesion, Positive Messaging and Peace by Boosting Collaboration, Exchange and Solidarity', carried out with the financial support of the European Union and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, in partnership with Sabancı University and Boğaziçi University, the Hrant Dink Foundation organized the session ‘Hate Speech Detection in Turkish and Arabic Tweets’ as part of ‘The 18th Conference of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics’ (EACL 2024).

In this session, Gökçe Uludoğan from Boğaziçi University presented the results of the 'Hate Speech Detection in Turkish and Arabic Tweets (HSD-2Lang)' competition. This competition, involving 33 teams from institutions including the University of Houston, King's College London, İstanbul Technical University, Middle East Technical University, Sabanci University, Koç University, and AIMS Cameroon, aimed to explore and evaluate methods for detecting hate speech in tweets. The results of the competition, which were determined according to the pre-announced scores, are as follows on a sub-problem basis:

Subtask A: Hate Speech Detection in Turkish across Various Contexts
