On 17 June 2022, the “International Conference on Countering Hate Speech in Media” will be held at the Hrant Dink Foundation, Havak Hall with the attendance of the project’s participating CSOs, individuals and institutions from both Turkey and Europe that work in discrimination, democracy, equality, human rights, discriminatory discourse and hate speech. The conference is the final activity of the “Learning and Collaborating on Countering Hate Speech in Turkey and new EU Member States” project which is carried out under the joint coordination and collaboration of the Hrant Dink Foundation and the Minority Rights Group Europe. The goal of the conference is to provide a platform to exchange experience, build networks and develop collaborations to counter hate speech.
If you aim to tackle hate speech and establish common communication and cooperation networks for this, you may follow the livestream of the conference on the June 17, 2022 on the Foundation’s website, Youtube channel, Twitter account and Facebook page of Nefret Söylemi [Hate Speech Project]. Simultaneous interpretation in Turkish and English will be provided.
