Hrant Dink Foundation continues to the series of events on theatre with an online panel ‘‘Theatres of Istanbul and Beyoğlu’’. You are invited to this online panel on 2 nd of December, Wednesday at 18.30 (GMT+3).

The panel will include talks on the theatre memory of the city, based on the theatre buildings of Beyoğlu particularly as one of the oldest cultural centres of Istanbul.

In addition, the panel will address the preparations on the ‘‘Coulisse Exhibition’’ based on the archive of Hagop Ayvaz who had put a great effort in theatre. The exhibition, which will open its doors on December 15 th , is brought to life as a result of a collaboration between the Foundation, Yapı Kredi Culture Arts and Publishing and The Theatre Foundation of Turkey. ‘Coulisse: A Chronicler of Theatre, Hagop Ayvaz’ will welcome its visitors on 15 th of December at the Yapı Kredi Culture Centre, Beyoğlu building.

Panel, curator and the Director of Exhibitions of Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts, Associate Professor Doctor Yavuz Pekmaz from the Department of Dramaturgy and Dramatic Writing at Istanbul University, Professor Dikmen Gürün member of Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Theater and Esen Çamurdan head of Theatre Foundation of Turkey.

The delightful talk which will be on Zoom application on December 2 nd will be a guide to the tour prepared for the IKSV Theatre Festival titled ‘Beyoğlu Theatre Tour’ at the KarDes mobile application that allows you to have a time travel on the culture and art history.

With this event we would like to salute the theatre workers once more who are going through hard times occupationally due to the pandemic and hope to meet in healthy terms once again at culture and arts centres.
