Within the scope of study on the seized properties of Armenian foundations in Istanbul, archiving work has been carried out in the archives of 17 Armenian foundations.All the documents of foundations, who opened their archives to us for the purpose of this study, have been digitalized and classified including those archives on immovable properties as well as others. 16 volunteers helped the researchers during the archiving effort.
There are about 77.000 digitalized documents that include various materials such as correspondences with the Armenian Patriarchate, title deeds, registers of baptism, Edicts of Sultans, students’ school registers, school reports, course materials, photographs, invoices, receipts mostly in Armenian, Ottoman Turkish and Turkish.
Digital archives kept at the Hrant Dink Foundation will be open for academics, researchers, students, lawyers and foundation managers.
