Muhammed Özkılınç, in his column titled “Hypocrite civilization”, writes: “Yes, while the Westerners were deceiving the humanity with all these scams, they were engaged in all kinds of occupation, exploitation, massacre and plunder, including slave hunting, in the lands of Islam. The experience suggests that the west has always been savage, barbaric and cruel not only during the half century to which we witnessed but for ages. It is obvious that the west based its livelihood, luxury, comfort and reign on occupation, massacre, exploitation and plunder.” With these remarks, he accuses all the Western societies for what happened by generalizing the Western identity in a negative way. Thus, the columnist portrays the Westerners as the enemy by associating them with violence, massacre and exploitation.
