Parallel events were organized throughout the world for one week on the occasion of International Museums Day. Within the scope of these activities, 'Memory of Objects' workshop was organized on May 17 in Hrant Dink Site of Memory. German artists Horst Hoheisel and Andreas Kntiz, who designed counter-monuments in Germany, Europe and South America, and conducted creative memorialization works supervised this workshop. Thirteen people from different disciplines and age groups attended the workshop.

Upon the invitation made for bringing objects that relate to the present and the past of Turkey-Armenia relations, participants brought objects and shared the stories of these objects. The participants, who explained the history of the objects they brought to the workshop and what those objects mean in their memories, enabled efficient conversations and a pleasant transmission.

At the end of the workshop, the story of each object brought by participants like the bottle of pomegranate wine, the duduk brought from Armenia, the bible written in Ottoman with Armenian alphabet of 105 years, the cup of coffee brought from Armenia and processed with traditional motifs, the mountain thyme collected from Armenia, were written by participants.

On May 18, International Museums Day, Hrant Dink Site of Memory was kept open throughout the day. The objects brought to Memory of Objects workshop were exhibited on May 18th with their stories. The staff of the Hrant Dink Foundation and the editor of the Armenian page of the Agos newspaper, Pakrat Estukyan, had a talk with the visitors of Site of Memory.
