The former office of Agos newspaper which also houses Hrant Dink’s personal office is being turned into a site of memory and will open its doors to public in 2019. Hrant Dink Site of Memory, will be open for visits on Friday, 18th of May, between 10:00-20:00 with the occasion of International Museum Day.
During the Museums Week a range of events will be organized at the Hrant Dink Foundation.Linda Norris, global networks program coordinator of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, Amina Krvavac, director of the War Childhood Museum in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Katia Chornik, director of the digital project Cantos Cautivos which sheds light on the dictatorship in Chile through music memory will join as speakers to the panel discussion about the practices of dealing with difficult pasts on 21st of May, Monday at Hrant Dink Foundation. On 22nd and 23rd of May, Hrant Dink Foundation will organize workshops focusing on memory. A workshop entitled 'Introduction to Bodymapping' will be led by Linda Norris on Tuesday, May 22, between 15:00 and 18:00, and another workshop entitled 'New methods for interacting with difficult historical / current topics’ will be led by Amina Krvavac, on Wednesday, May 24 between 15:00-17:00
