The first term of the 2025-2026 Western Armenian Language Studies organized by the Hrant Dink Foundation with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is starting on September 22,2 2025. The 72 hour studies consist of two-hour sessions, twice a week, spanning 18 weeks. Each term, participants may attend one of four levels. The studies will be conducted online via Zoom.
LEVEL 1
BEGINNER
Mondays and Thursdays
19:00 - 21:00 (GMT+3)
Level 1 participants will be able to recognize the Armenian letters and sounds and get acquainted with writing. They will start reading and become accustomed to using sentences in the present and future tenses.

LEVEL 2
ELEMENTARY
Mondays and Thursdays
19:00 - 21:00 (GMT+3)
In this level, participants who have successfully completed Level 1 will be able to read correctly, comprehend and respond to verbal questions. They will form sentences in the past and future continuous tenses using an expanded vocabulary.
Level 2 fee - 6,000 TL (Discounted fee: 4,500TL)
LEVEL 3
INTERMEDIATE
Tuesdays and Fridays
19:00 - 21:00 (GMT+3)
In this level, participants who have successfully completed Level 2 will be able to develop comprehension and self expression skills and recognize and use different verb tenses.
Level 3 fee - 10,000 TL (Discounted fee: 7,500TL)
LEVEL 4
ADVANCED
Mondays and Thursdays
19:00 - 21:00 (GMT+3)
In this level, participants who have successfully completed Level 3 will be able to read and comprehend as well as explain texts from newspapers and various literary genres.
Level 4 fee - 10,000 TL (Discounted fee: 7,500TL)
- Knowledge of Turkish for Level 1, 2 and 3 participants is a must as Turkish explanations will be provided during the studies.
- The studies are for participants aged 16+.
- Participants will need to add the Western Armenian keyboard to their computers.
- Google Classroom and Zoom will be used as the learning platforms along with carefully selected online readings, audio, and video resources.
- The participant may state the level they wish to attend. If necessary, a placement test will be administered by the instructors.
- Each level will open subject to a minimum of 3 participants enrolling.
