The project titled “An Up-To-Date Approach to Minority Rights’’ which started in July 2021 has been completed. The report titled “Tight Outfit: Armenian Institutions in Turkey, Problems and Solutions,” written by Ohannes Kılıçdağı and edited by Nesrin Uçarlar which is the final output of the project has been published. The report, which aimed to compile the problems of Armenian schools, Armenian foundations and the Armenian Patriarchate and proposals for their solution, was prepared on the basis of 54 meetings with administrators and officials, as well as the findings of four workshops where academics, lawyers, and representatives of non-governmental organizations were invited to evaluate problems and possible solutions.
The report, which focuses on the legal, economic, social, and current problems of Armenian institutions and on proposals for solving these problems, also aims to raise awareness among politicians, non-governmental organizations, and the public about minority rights and to inspire future efforts on minority rights.
