The first of the Hrant Dink Foundation talks planned to be organized by periodically was on February 26, 2011. The talk followed the screening of Avedikian’s animation «Chienne d’Histoire».
Serge Avedikian: was born in 1955 in Yerevan. At the age of 15 he and his family moved to France. In 1971 after studying at the Meudon Conservatory Theatre Department, he took part in a number of plays with the Paris Conservatory students. In 1976 he set up a theatre company, this enabled him to put a number of shows on the stage. In 1982, in adittion to doing comedy for the theatre and cinema, he began working on making documentary films. In 1988 he set up his own production company, thus produced and directed his own films through this company. At the same time, he carried on his adventures with theatre, cinema and television acting.
Since 2000, while giving much more of his time to acting for the theatre and cinema he also continues to work together with other producers in film-making projects. His recent works include the short animation «Chienne d’Histoire» (Barking Island) and he staged Gérard Torikians’s play «Le Concert Armenien et le Proverbe Turc» (The Armenian Concert and the Turkish Proverb).
