KarDes mobile application continues to enrich its content with the new memory tours and the updated Discover section for Ankara. A talk was held with Ayşin Zoe Güneş, Funda Şenol Cantek, and Elif Selena Ayhan at the event held at the Erimtan Archeology and Art Museum in June. During the event, KarDes’s new Ankara contents were introduced and the city’s multi-layered past and the historical transformation of its cultural heritage were discussed.

KarDes brings together unknown multicultural stories of the past and prepares walking routes narrated in Turkish and English. Users can walk through these routes with oral history videos and old photographs and discover the multi-layered past of the districts. In addition to the memory tours, with the Discover section, users have the opportunity to learn which cultural heritage sites exist in the districts they live in.
