At the Hrant Dink Foundation, we strive to preserve, record, promote and make visible and notable the cultural richness; the tangible and intangible cultural heritage created generation after generation by communities that lived on these lands.
We care deeply about new studies that question the interaction between Anatolian masters, craftsmen and artists in their work, the cultural exchange between communities and how this exchange took place, as well as opening new horizons to guide these studies.
Inspired by the multicultural structure of Anatolia in the olden days; we carry out our activities taking into account the works created by different communities by nurturing each other and by way of mutual interaction; and through various projects we implement within this framework, we enable the maintenance of cultural heritage in people’s memories.
The Foundation primarily believes in perceiving the diverse cultures of Turkey, not as objects of nostalgia to be remembered, but as a richness still alive today that will be passed down from generation to generation. When the contribution of each element of diversity to the collective memory is remembered by giving it a name; the spaces of co-existence can be formed, by sharing and creating together.
