The panel and the workshop which will be held on the 25th of November is aimed to create a space for civil society actors from different fields such human rights, children, youth, disability rights, ecology, migration studies, gender and women's rights as to discuss their challenges by sharing experiences and make them feel that they are not alone.

Dr. Alice Nah, Centre for Applied Human Rights University of York will be talking about the experience on well-being and self-care of the civil society works with the moderation of clinical psychologist Öznur Acicbe from Doctors without Borders.

Dr. Alice M. Nah (Politics Department at University of York)

Alice M. Nah is a Lecturer at the Politics Department at University of York, UK, where she conducts research on the security and protection of human rights defenders at risk. She is also on the Board of Protection International, the International Detention Coalition and the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network.

Clinical psychologist Öznur Acicbe (Doctors without Borders)

Acicbe is a graduate of Hacettepe University, Psychology Department and has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Middle East Technical University. Her research areas focus mainly on employees' self-care, burnout, secondary traumatization and supervision. Acicbe also works with Doctors Without Borders. Presently, she provides consultancy and supervision services to various organizations in civil society.
