Campaigning against discrimination in Izmir, Association for Solidarity with Refugees organized workshops for young people on human rights-oriented film making, sound, light, camera use and editing. The association reached wide audiences with 14 films and public service announcements they had prepared.
Working in the field of disability rights in Istanbul, Social Rights and Research Association conducted a monitoring and reporting study based on field research, which revealed numerical and concrete data regarding the discrimination faced by the people with disabilities. Association employees who met with public institutions carried out advocacy activities.
Working in the field of gender equality in Bitlis, Bitlis Women Entrepreneurs Association, held classes on theatre, voice, diction, dance, bodily awareness, creative writing and storytelling for women. Within the scope of this project, 20 women from Bitlis staged 11 theater plays.
Working in the field of human rights in Istanbul, Foundation for Society and Legal Studies has prepared a lawyer training module on violations of rights and judicial mechanisms to empower lawyers and provided capacity building training. The foundation raised awareness about violations of rights with mapping studies and animated videos.
In Istanbul, The Quincentennial Foundation Museum of Turkish Jews, which carries out activities in the field of memory to keep the Jewish culture in Turkey alive, held oral history interviews with the Jews of Turkey, and they prepared exhibitions, documentaries and books to reinforce the culture of living together in the light of these interviews.
Clean Clothes Campaign, which carries out activities to improve the working and living conditions of workers in Istanbul, published brochures in Arabic and Turkish on workers rights and occupational diseases in 13 different sectors where immigrants work the most; prepared informative videos.
Working for gender equality in Hakkari, Yüksekova Social Impact and Culture Association prepared a report presenting the needs of women and children by conducting a field research. They worked to raise awareness of gender-based violence with the meetings in the neighbourhood and playgroups with women and children.
Working in the field of LGBTI+ rights in Istanbul, Social Policy, Gender Identity, and Sexual Orientation Studies Association - SPoD, has prepared guides to raise the awareness of lawyers on LGBTI+ rights, and organized training activities to empower lawyers in the process of submission to jurisdiction for violations of rights.
Working in the field of memory and cultural heritage in Kars, Social Research and Original Thinking Association, has prepared a book and an introductory guide depicting the multicultural history of the city. They opened an online exhibition and produced a documentary film with the aim of contributing to the establishment of a culture of peace and the improvement of coexistence.
PUNTO24 Platform for Independent Jounalism, which carries out monitoring activities in the field of freedom of expression in Istanbul, prepared news and conducted special interviews and media scans on censorship and self-censorship on their website called Susma. The association, which organizes workshops in the field of culture and art, has published an annual censorship report.
Working in the field of youth rights in İzmir, Pi Youth Association organized workshops to empower youth associations and their employees. The association, which provides human rights education by creating an inclusive youth network, has created an online resource and e-library in this field, open to the use of everyone.
Working for the process of inclusive human resources management in Istanbul, People Management Association of Turkey, provided training to make comprehensive arrangements in human resources and to create a working environment respectful of individual freedom. The association prepared animated videos and an impact analysis report based on field research.
Working for the recording and preservation of the memory of the Sur district in Diyarbakır, Diyarbakır Association for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets organized seminars and workshops in the field of cultural heritage and memory. After oral history interviews and technical photography, the association prepared a book and opened an online exhibition to keep the memory of the Sur region alive.
Working for the prevention of torture and the fight against discrimination in Turkey, Human Rights Foundation of Turkey has created a virtual database by monitoring and reporting violations of rights; with the 'Human Rights For All' campaign, they prepared videos that draw attention to violations of rights.
Working for fair production processes in İzmir, Production Economy Association has created a solidarity network to understand and share the struggle of women's labor against the climate and biodiversity crisis, with the projects they carried out in the Kaz Mountains. The association, which organizes workshops and training activities, conducted field research and reporting, and produced a documentary film.
