The Code of Conduct of the Hrant Dink Foundation
Core Principles

Hrant Dink Foundation was established after the assassination of Hrant Dink in front of his newspaper Agos on 19 January 2007, in order to avoid similar pains and to continue Hrant Dink’s legacy, his language and heart, and his dream of a world that is more free and just. Democracy and human rights for everyone regardless of their ethnic, religious or cultural origin or gender is the Foundation’s main principle. The Foundation works for a Turkey and a world where freedom of expression is used to the fullest, where all differences are encouraged, experienced, kept alive and multiplied, and where conscience prevails in our view of the past and present. Hrant Dink Foundation strives for a future where a culture of dialogue, peace and empathy prevails.

Prepared in line with the aforementioned aims and principles of the Hrant Dink Foundation and with due regard to legal and moral standards as well as the principle of transparency, this Code of Conduct outlines behaviours expected from individuals acting under the umbrella of the Hrant Dink Foundation. The Hrant Dink Foundation employees shall comply with these rules at all times and in all cases.

1. Respects human rights and acts in accordance with the law.

2. Maintains ethical standards.

3. Works professionally and believes in teamwork.

4. Protects the resources of the Hrant Dink Foundation.

5. Attaches importance to the organisational reputation and credibility of the Hrant Dink Foundation.

6. Protects children.

7. Safeguards ecological balance.

8. Advocates gender equality.

9. Struggles against bribery and corruption.
