The panel, which will be organized on the 15th of December by Hrant Dink Foundation and DVV International will focus on the experiences of NGO’s from different countries on their practices of dealing with difficult pasts. This panel will feature the work of three NGOs from different geographies. The representatives from Healing Through Remembering which conducts storytelling projects related to conflict, runs projects for encouraging dealing with the past, truth recovery and acknowledgment in Northern Ireland; Zachor Foundation for Social Remembrance NGO in Hungary, whose mission is to raise the awareness of educators and students of diverse backgrounds on issues like Jewish tradition and culture, anti-Semitism, racism, prejudice; and Zochrot which conducts projects dedicated to promoting acknowledgement and accountability for the ongoing injustices of the Nakba, to raising awareness for the right to return of the Palestinians to Israel, and the reconceptualization of the Return as the imperative redress of the Nakba; will present their work and share their experiences during this panel.
