Conceived with the collaboration of the Istanbul Biennial, Hrant Dink Foundation and 23.5 Hrant Dink Site of Memory and published within the scope of the 17th Istanbul Biennial organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), Dumpling Post’s November issue on ‘Creative Resistance’ will be accompanied by a workshop for children on newspaper making.

The Newspaper Workshop,* where the children will design their own newspapers with various different materials, will take place on 13 November 2022 on the occasion of 20 November World Children’s Day. The workshop will be held at 23.5 Hrant Dink Site of Memory.

Ceren Suntekin was born in İzmir, Turkey in 1979. After completing her undergraduate degree at Hacettepe University, Department of Philosophy, she received her Master’s degree on ‘Children and Youth’ from the Post-Graduate Programme of the Department of Social Services at the same university. Currently combining the creative power of arts with right-based works, Suntekin works in the fields of children’s rights and child participation, children’s rights and media, right-based communication strategies and inclusive policies, gender equality, sexual health, struggle against discrimination, protective and preventive works against right violations and equality and inclusiveness for local governments.
