KarDes, is a mobile application designed as a personal tour guide in Turkish and English languages for users who wish to discover the multicultural legacy of Istanbul. The app can be downloaded free of charge from Appstore and Play Store.

Within January 1-5, 2020, four articles that news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Armenians, Jews, Syrians, Cypriot Greeks are analyzed. 

Media watch report covering the May-August 2019 period and including quantitative and qualitative analyses of instances of hate speech against national, ethnic and religious identities is published.

As part of the “Media Watch on Hate Speech” project, we have searched for alternative discourses to hate speeches producing and circulating the discourse of prejudice, discrimination, and violence. Alternative discourse is a rights-based discourse and understanding that combats hate speech.

Within December 16-22, 2019 three news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Westerners, Christians, Croatians, Cypriot Greeks, Syrians and Greeks are analyzed.

Within the scope of the History Program Hrant Dink Foundation, the fifth Social Science Graduate Students Workshop was held on 28 November 2019 at Hrant Dink Foundation, Anarad Hığutyun Building.

The panel entitled “Wellbeing and civil society: Common challenges different approaches” was held with the participation of of Dr. Alice Nah, Centre for Applied Human Rights University of York and clinical psychologist Öznur Acicbe from Doctors without Borders.

Faciliated by Dr. Alice Nah from Centre for Applied Human Rights University of York, individuals from civil society sector and volunteers participated in the workshop called “Wellbeing and Activism in Risky Contexts”.

Media watch report includes annual results along with quantitative and qualitative analyses of hate speech data for 2018 and two discriminatory discourse reports which focuses on two topics that stood out in 2018 is now available online. 

A group of five experts from the field of Information and Communication Technologies visited Armenia on 6-10 October to meet their counterparts in the neighbouring country with the aim of discovering the potential areas of cooperation.
