Armavir Development Centre(ADC) NGO is working with children with disabilities and provides training for trainers.
Centre, now, is implementing a three year program named “Community based services for children with disability” financed by Save the Children. There is established a day care centre in the frame of the program which serves different social, educational and rehabilitation services for about 200 children with disabilities annually.So, considering the provided services and some new methods and approaches for this specific target group, ADC would like to invite a specialist of occupational therapy to conduct ergo physical therapy both for children with disabilities and trainings for the specialists of the centre.
The NGO emphasises the importance of enabling cross-border learning opportunities in this area, where exchange of expertise and lasting cooperation in much needed.
EXPECTED PROFILE
It is expected that the professional’s experience, skills and capacities will be shared with Armenian specialists, who will learn and develop their skills in the area of children with disabilities. Besides, the fellowship scheme will give an opportunity to enhance the partnership among Armenian and Turkish specialists, experts, civil society organisations to develop their activities in both countries more effectively and successfully. ADC will have much to gain and learn from Turkish partners and will cooperate in future as well in other areas.
- Education: Preferably high education
- Professional background: Work experience in occupational therapy
- Languages: English and/or Russian
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The fellowship activity will take place in the Centre for children with disabilities. The fellow is expected to be present at the Centre 4 days of the week, from 11:00-15:00. The holidays will be considered as not working days and he/she will not work on that days.
The fellowship will be implemented in Armavir city of Armavir province in Armenia. It is near the capital Yerevan- 48 km and near to Turkish border.
