PROPOSED FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
IDEMA is a special entrepreneurship initiative designing and implementing socio-economic development projects to support the development process. The fellow is invited to support these multi-partnered community development projects that are build as public/private and civil society partnerships. For example, Web Rangers Project for Google Turkey, Resilient Small Businesses Project for UPS Turkey, External Evaluation of MALUMAT Programme by MercyCorps Turkey and Social Compact Work Electricity Privatization in Southeastern Turkey Report for the World Bank are among the projects we have undertaken.
The fellow is expected to closely collaborate with highly experienced internal and external consultants of IDEMA on following proposed activities:
- Project planning, management, and evaluation of corporate social responsibility projects of multinational companies.
- Evaluation and improvement of humanitarian aid projects run in Turkey by international humanitarian aid organisations.
- Working in innovative urban development projects that involve socio-economic mapping for creating a portal for those in need to meet with those who are willing to help.
- Performing reporting, analysis and strategy development services for various public, private or nonprofit organisations in order to assess their social impact and create strategies to improve positive social impact.
- Design and develop education and training programmes that are used in development projects to develop capacities of disadvantaged groups such as the refugees, the women, the children.
- Take an active role in project preparation for funds available for development The fellow will be an integral part of IDEMA team and will closely collaborate with the experienced, creative and young team of IDEMA, and will develop a network and expertise that can be used in development practices and partnerships in Armenia.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- Is interested in socio-economic development and development sector and willing to establish a career or has already begun to do so in the area
- Has experience in one or more of the following areas: project development and management, training, reporting and analysis, field work, logistics, communications, humanitarian aid, corporate social responsibility
- Is creative, a team player, communicative, energetic, innovative and adaptable
- Is fluent in English, preferably in Turkish and other languages.
- Is able to travel to disadvantaged areas and work on the field
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The fellowship activity days are from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00. Public holidays in Turkey and religious holidays in Armenia are days off.
