PROPOSED FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Earth Association was established in 2009 upon the initiative of seven volunteers fond of ecologic life. Their first point of departure is to create an ecologist community.
The fellow will be mainly expected to contribute to 4 specific projects:
- Low Carbon Project: What are the energy production methods with low carbon emissions used in developed countries? How is it possible to produce clean energy without using fossil fuel; is it possible to use these methods in Turkey; how so?
- Human Rights Violations in Coal Industries in Turkey Project: Investigation and documentation of the human rights violations in the places where there are investments into coal industry.
- Earth Association Eco-Village: Architectural Studies at the eco-village of the association in Sakarya-Pamukova; planting and harvesting organic vegetables and fruits.
- Book publication, book edition, translation, typesetting, for ecology books.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- Good command of English
- Interested in clean energy production and studies
- Interested in human rights
- Interested in eco-villages
- Willingness to work at the eco-village when needed
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
- The fellow is expected to support our activities from 9.00 to 17.00 from Monday to Friday;
- Public holidays and weekends are off.
