PROPOSED FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Women’s Problems Research and Implementation Centre (KASAUM) is dedicated to research in the field of women’s and gender studies in faculties and academic units of Ankara University.
For this goal, it has established Women’s Studies Programme and supports the MA and PhD programmes since 1996. It contributes to the development of women’s studies as an academic field through training graduate students, supervising MA and PhD theses and making research. It is contributing to prevention of violation against women’s human rights and promotion of gender equality through research, training, policy development and implementation. It prepares special training programmes for experts, policy makers and practitioners in order to solve women’s problems and consolidate public policies that aim gender equality. It supports research projects dedicated to investigating the sources of gender inequality and providing solutions to women’s problems and aims to increase the number of projects in Ankara University in the field of women’s studies.
The fellow is expected to conduct research and field work.
EXPECTED PROFILE
English proficiency is a prerequisite.
Postgraduate, undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in gender studies, academics or independent researchers who are carrying out research in the field of gender studies.
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The fellow is expected to be present on the university campus three days a week, dedicating five hours a day for centre’s activities, and carry out field work or library visit during the time remaining.
