The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey is a non-partisan, non-profit think tank based in Ankara, Turkey. TEPAV was established in 2004 as an independent research institute and is Turkey’s largest economic policy think-tank employing highly talented researchers and experts. TEPAV is looking for fellows from the economic studies.
The fellow is expected to;
- Create and deliver advanced analytics using a variety of techniques including Survey Analytics, Conjoint Analysis, Econometrics and other tools,
- Undertake quantitative analysis (descriptive statistics, basic regression analysis),
- Collect economic and other types of data from major databases and data provider services,
- Prepare Drafts of Background Briefs, Talking Points, and Review Reports,
- Carry out research and analysis independently in support of organizational strategies;
- Contribute to or lead in the creation of deliverables, including reports, newsletters, spreadsheets, presentations and other outputs to document and communicate findings.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- A Master’s degree is a minimum, 3-5 years of experience is highly preferred.
- Intellectual curiosity on current economic and social affairs. Excellent social and writing skills in English. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, esp. PowerPoint and Excel. A self-starter, highly motivated to take the initiative and develop new ideas /projects, open to absorb different models of knowledge and activities.
- Very adaptable, able to get involved in multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Thrive in a fast-paced and fun environment, have an ability to multitask.
- Have a passion for contributing to the Armenian-Turkish normalisation process. Research of the new opportunities and potential risks related to the micro/macro/economic activities between Armenia and Turkey; regional development impact on the Turkish-Armenian relations.
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The fellow is expected to be present at the office during five weekdays from 9:30 to 18:00. TEPAV is following the calendar of official holidays in Turkey.
Fellowship will be implemented in Ankara, Turkey.

4 to 8 months between October 2017 and June 2018
