The fellowship program at Koc University School of Medicine aims to support the fellow’s current or future academic works. The fellow will prepare an individual plan for his/her time during the fellowship including professional and academic goals. Koc University School of Medicine is looking for a fellow for the areas below;

  1. Health Policies
  2. Tuberculosis Research
  3. Migrant Health
  4. Health of LGBTIQ Populations
  5. Medical Education 

 The opportunities and activities during the fellowship program at Koc University School of Medicine are as follows:

  1. Participating in the seminar series on the relevant field of interest
  2. Designing a research proposal to be conducted by the fellow in the future
  3. Providing support for the data analysis of a previous study of the fellow
  4. Networking with professionals from different organisations working in the field of interest

During fellowship program the fellow is expected to make one seminar presentation on the field of interest.

EXPECTED PROFILE

Occupational and educational background:

  • Graduate level students in masters or PhD program
  • Public Health professionals who has a working experience on the field of interest
  • Professionals from 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of research design and data analysis
  • Previous experience of research 

CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The fellowship program will be held during weekdays. Seminars or meetings conducted at the weekend are exceptions. The national holidays in Turkey will be accepted as holiday for the fellow. Activity hours will be designed flexibly together with the fellow depending on the goals and objectives.  

Fellowship will be implemented in Istanbul, Turkey.

4 to 6 months between October 2017-June 2018
