Impact Hub is a rapidly expanding, diverse global network of over 13,000 change makers and innovators in 100+ locations, with a shared focus on creating positive impact. Impact Hubs unite people from every profession, background and culture with imagination and drive to pursue enterprising ideas for the world. Each Impact Hub community collaborates in inspiring co-working & meeting spaces, supported by a wealth of innovative programs, events and cutting-edge content. Impact Hub Istanbul has been open for 9 months and provides a shared space and knowledge platform for impact driven individuals. Impact Hub is looking for a fellow from one of these three areas;
Area 1: Finance
Impact Hub Istanbul has a very unique business model and we are looking for assistance with our financial planning, management and strategy. The role involves cooperating with a co-founder in modelling financial projections, budgeting, and startegising profitability. The role also involves assisting in operations management of day to day Hub activities.
Area 2: Research and Project Management
Impact Hub Istanbul not only provides space and community but also lots of content to its members and to the innovation ecosystem in Turkey. We work on corporate consulting projects and design training programs for entrepreneurs. These projects require active project management and pre-start research on the subject topic. We are looking for an individual who has expertise in managing projects with multiple angles and multiple partners.
Area 3: Website Design
We are in need of a web developer, both back end and front end to redesign our website.
EXPECTED PROFILE
Area 1: Finance
- 2+ years of expertise is financial management, accounting, and preferably operations
- Ability to navigate in a very dynamic startup environment
- Turkish knowledge is not mandatory but would be an asset.
Area 2: Research and Project Management
- At least 2 years of experience in doing project management, preferably in the fields of entrepreneurship, social impact or international development sectors.
Area 3: Website Design
- Experience in web design for both back end and front end development
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The fellow is expected to conduct his/her fellowship activity at the office either five days per week (full-time) or three days per week (part-time), from 09:00 to 19:00; however, the detailed schedule will be decided during the fellowship based on the needs of the team.
Fellowship will be implemented in Istanbul, Turkey.
PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP
4 to 8 months (longer duration is more favourable) between October 2017-June 2018
