National Library of Armenia is a largest repository of Armenian printed productions in the world. Library's collection at 1 January 2015 are more than 6.3 million registered units. These are including books, magazines, newspapers, maps, posters, thesis, music notes, cards, postcards, calendars, banknotes, video clips, CD/DVD-s. NLA is looking for fellows from the fields library science, information science, bibliography of the Armenian books and periodicals/cataloguing, in order to;
- To share his/her knowledge on Library and Information Science,
- To help to identify Armenian Printed materials in the Turkish library e-catalogues,
- To help in digitisation activities of such materials.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- The fellow shall have educational background in either history, library science or philology
- The fellow shall hold BA or MA degree in one of the above stated fields.
- The fellow shall know English. Knowledge of Armenian will be an asset.
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The time-schedule of fellowship activities will be decided in cooperation with the fellow.
The fellowship will be implemented in Yerevan, Armenia.
PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP
4 to 8 months between October 2017 and May 2018
