The Women’s Resource Centre of Armenia (WRCA) was founded in 2003. It is the first drop-in resource centre created for young women in Armenia in the post-soviet era. The main objective of WRCA is to give women necessary tools to become active members of society through various types of teaching, training, and support. WRCA is looking for fellows, who are interested at women’s rights, sexual and reproductive health and rights, working with refugee women.
We would like a potential fellow focus on the following topics:
- Work with refugee women
- Work with adolescent girls
- Support to creative feminist initiatives
- Advocacy and research on gender issues
We also would like to host a fellow who can help us in the development of advocacy strategy, as well as to help us to elaborate our communication strategy.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- Education: Background in social sciences
- Professional background: Experience of working in women’s organisation, involvement in women’s movement
- Languages: Good command in English. Russian and/or Armenian proficiency would be an asset.
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The detailed schedule of the fellowship activity will be decided upon agreement with the fellow.
The fellowship will be implemented in Yerevan, Armenia.
PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP
8 months between October 2017 and June 2018
