Peace Dialogue NGO is a non-political organisation with the purpose of uniting experienced human rights and peace activists from Eastern Partnership countries, Russia and Europe in order to encourage the active participation of the civil society in processes of democratisation and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
With this fellowship we are interested in improving the media component of Peace Dialogue’s work. We are very much interested in improving the capacities of our staff in all spectrum and phases of animated cartoon production: starting with developing the idea and finishing with post production activities. The organisation processes human and technical resources for this work, however we feel lack of knowledge in working with relevant computer software, scenario making capacities, final editing capacities, etc. We expect the fellow to help us in filling this gap and also to be interested and willing to prepare a joint final product on issues that both Armenian and Turkish societies should be aware or interested in.
In particular the proposed fellowship program will have the following components:
- Getting acquainted with Peace Dialogue’s activities
- Observing the capacities and the resources of the organisation
- Revealing the needs of the involved staff
- Organising trainings for Peace Dialogue’s video making specialists
- Developing a scenario for a joint animated video
- Preparation of the video
- Joint Distribution of the video material with Peace Dialogue’s staff
- Moreover, we also expect the fellow, jointly with the organisation’s staff, to organise various discussions or meetings with youth in Vanadzor on preselected topics, related to current prospects of Armenian-Turkish relations, or current social, political developments in our countries, etc.
