We have lost Nazar Büyüm, a member of our Foundation’s Advisory Board. Born in Everek, Kayseri, and a Tıbrevank alumnus, Nazar Aghparig was a significant figure in Turkey’s publishing history. He never withheld his support from our foundation, both during its establishment and throughout its operation. When we moved to the Anarad Hığutyun Building, he personally brought and planted a pomegranate tree in our garden, carefully placing the soil with his own hands and giving it its first watering. We will carry his memory with us and continue our work, ensuring that all the seeds he sowed continue to blossom.

"Last Saturday, there was a Pomegranate Tree Planting in the inner courtyard of the new Hrant Dink Foundation and AGOS building. A wide, deep space had been prepared in the middle of the courtyard for this new symbol. Soil, sand, gravel, sapling... everything was ready. Under the leadership of İlhami, the tree was being planted, but halfway through, it became clear that the soil wouldn’t be enough. Zeynep, Delal, Leda, we were all watching side-by-side. Someone called the municipality to request more soil. Leda, next to me, quipped, ‘Armenians demanding land from the Turks.’"
