Nareg Seferian will be holding a public talk about his research on the popular narratives that Armenians and Turks have about one another. Seferian, has been a fellow for the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme as a researcher at Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) since November 2016. 

The talk will take place at Havak Hall, on 21st of February, Tuesday, 2017 at 19:00 (GMT+03).

With this event, Nareg Seferian will also be sharing his experiences as a research fellow at IPC. His colleague, Cana Tülüş, Research and Administrative Affairs Coordinator at IPC, will join Seferian to talk about the collaboration with a researcher from the neighbouring country and his contribution at IPC as a research institution.

Nareg Seferian was born and raised in New Delhi, India. He began his higher education at Yerevan State University in Armenia with studies in political science, later receiving a bachelor’s degree in classical liberal arts from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the United States. He then did graduate work in international affairs at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. Nareg served at the American University of Armenia from 2013 to 2016. His writings and other works are available at naregseferian.com.

The event will be held in English only and a format of an interactive conversation so everybody is more than welcome to bring their questions for the Q/A session.

The Hrant Dink Foundation has established the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme in 2014 with a view to promote cross-border affiliation and cooperation in areas where further exchange of expertise and lasting cooperation is much needed, such as academia, civil society, media, culture and arts, language-learning and law. 15 fellows from Armenia and Turkey are now living and following a special program at a host organisation in the neighbouring country. 

In addition to their activities at their host organisations, fellows also attend various meetings and seminar, having the chance to meet people and institutions working in their areas of interest.
