In April 2018, following the election of Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister of Armenia, large crowds took to the streets in a self-organized and grassroots movement, which objected the ruling power in general.

The Hrant Dink Foundation is supporting people and organisations from Turkey and Armenia to build dialogue and cooperation. We aim to introduce those who act as catalysts between the two neighbouring countries.

The main theme of this year's International Museums Day is set by the International Council of Museums as ‘Hyperconnected museums: New approaches, new publics’. Hrant Dink Site of Memory will be open for visits on 18th of May which marks International Museum Day.

The workshop will be led by Amina Krvavac, director of the War Childhood Museum in Sarajevo. The workshop will take place on May 23rd between 15:00-17:00h  at the Hrant Dink Foundation. 

International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, Global Networks Program Coordinator Linda Norris will hold a workshop on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 15:00 to 18:00, entitled "Introduction to Bodymapping" at the Hrant Dink Foundation.

The panel, which will be organized on the 21st of May at Havak Hall by Hrant Dink Foundation and DVV International will shed light on the creative memory works for dealing with difficult pasts.

Within April 30 - May 6, 2018, four news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Greeks, Buddhists, Armenians and Syrians are analyzed.

Hayk Hakobyan, fellow from Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme and Nil Delahaye, from host organisation BoMoVu – Network of Sport and Body Movement for Vulnerable Groups, talked about programme and shared their experiences.

In the panel moderated by KONDA Director Bekir Ağırdır, issued as part of the Media Watch on Hate Speech project, findings of media monitoring in 2017 and discriminatory discourse reports were presented.
