The first online workshop on discussion of news items within the scope of Media Watch on Hate Speech project was held on November 17, 2020, with facilitation of Ebru Özdeş and Şeyma Özkan from the Project. 

Media watch report includes annual results along with quantitative and qualitative analyses of hate speech data for 2019 and the discriminatory discourse reports which focuses on a topics that stood out in 2019 is now available online.

Within October 16-31, 2020, four articles that news articles that generate hate speech had been selected for the weekly report. These articles generating hate speech against Armenians, Syrians, and Cypriot Greeks are analyzed.

Directors of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience Linda Norris and Braden Paynter will conduct the workshop discussing storytelling, equity, and history in the public sphere on 9, 10 and 13 November.

Since 2009, the Hrant Dink Foundation has been implementing Turkey-Armenia Journalists' Dialogue Programme to strengthen ties between journalists from Turkey and Armenia.

Vandita Morarka, founder of CIVICUS member One Future Collective facilitated our workshop where participants discussed leadership with a feminist and inclusive perspective, on the October 14 and 16.

Hasini Haputhanthri, from Sri Lanka facilitated the workshop on possiblities to transform discrimination into inclusion by putting culture first. The participants discussed the dynamics of culture and its effects on their professional practices.

We are deeply saddened and worried about the recent conflict in the region. We call on the administrators of all related countries to open negotiation channels and to operate diplomatic tools so that the societies of Armenia and Azerbaijan can live together in peace.
