This year’s award was granted to Shaharzad Akbar for her struggle against the grave women’s rights crisis in Afghanistan

This year's award was granted to Human Rights Foundation of Turkey for its contribution to the building of a world free from torture and ill-treatment.

This year's awards were granted to Nebahat Akkoç, who works to raise awareness among women on women's human rights  and Agnes Kharshiing from India who defends the rights of the poor, women, children and struggles for environmental rights.

13th International Hrant Dink Award was presented on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021. The award is presented to women's rights defender and lawyer Canan Arın from Turkey and 2021 Nobel Peace Price laureate journalist Maria Ressa from Philippines.

The 14th International Hrant Dink Award was presented on Thursday, September 15th, 2022. The award was presented to Human Rights Foundation of Turkey and Shaharzad Akbar from Afghanistan.

The International Hrant Dink Award laureates will be announced on September 15th, 2025 for the seventeenth time at this year's award ceremony. You can send your nominations until the 30th of April 2025.

We are happy to share the members of the 2020 jury of the International Hrant Dink Award in its twelfth year which will take place on the 15th of September. 

Every year an award committee is established for the organisation of International Hrant Dink Award. The 2025 Award Committee is chaired by Ayşe Kadıoğlu and consists of 13 members.

The Award is presented annually under the aegis of the International Hrant Dink Foundation at an award ceremony organised on Hrant Dink’s birthday, September 15th.
