Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics – Division of Pediatric Rheumatology is one of the leading Pediatric Rheumatology centers in Turkey. All types of pediatric rheumatologic diseases including JIA, vasculitis, SLE, dermatomyositis, autoinflammatory syndromes, and Behçet’s diseases are diagnosed, treated and followed in our outpatient and inpatient clinics. In addition, we have been working on various research projects and investigations especially about FMF and childhood vasculitis.

Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF)
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED FELLOWSHİP ACTIVITY
The fellow will follow quite a good number of patients with FMF in the outpatient clinic and will have a chance to see different clinical presentations of the disease. S/he will have an opportunity to distinguish the differences and similarities between FMF patients in Turkey and in Armenia. Research activities regarding various aspects of FMF could be planned and done in the unit within the university.
EXPECTED PROFILE
- Medical doctor, pediatrician,
- hardworking, voluntary and curious about FMF,
- at least three years of research experience,
- being able to read and interpret statistics,
- having experience in writing articles and willingness to continue collaboration are preferred.
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Office hours are between 09:00- 17:00 on weekdays.
PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP
One month duration between October 2020 - May 2021.
