Orbeli Center was founded in March 2018. It is a project developed by Public Relations and Information Center SNCO under the Prime Minister’s Office, which conducts research and analysis in the field of economics, regional, domestic and foreign policy developments, security, infrastructure, media, etc.

Orbeli Center organizes conferences, lectures, and make media appearances that aim to increase the knowledge, awareness, and salience of various domestic and international developments.

The academic research articles and expert opinions published on the Center’s website are particularly useful for officials, senior executives, political scientists, analysts, experts of corresponding spheres and others.

AREA / SUBJECT OF THE FELLOWSHIP

The area of the research shall be the relations between Armenia and Turkey

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED FELLOWSHİP ACTIVITY

The centre is especially looking for fellows who conduct research on Armenia-Turkey relations. The fellow is offered to conduct research in economic, political, cultural, social, and other spheres of the relations.
The fellow is required to participate in the activities of the Center; attend seminars, workshops and discussions, to write an article on a predetermined theme, and to present his/her research at a public seminar.

EXPECTED PROFILE 

The fellow is expected to be a PhD/Postdoc student in his/her research/dissertation period, academic and independent researcher, policy analyst.

The fellow should be from Academic Institution or think tank (university faculty, policy analysts and advisers with university degree in political science, international relations or related fields) with good command of English or Russian.
A candidate with strong research skills; track record of publications in refereed journals or books is desirable; involvement in academic conferences will be helpful.

CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The fellow will be provided with office space and internet access. The fellow is expected to spend in the office 5 days per week (Monday-Friday). The fellowship activity hours may vary based on the fellow’s individual schedule.
