CRC mission is to:

  • Create a trans-national network of culture and youth organizations and institutions in the South Caucasus and Europe that promote intercultural dialogue among art and culture between people, youth and the general public.
  • Identify and preserve unique aspects of Caucasian cultures across the region supporting the under-represented cultural and youth groups to reveal their culture and art, make it known about the larger societies.
  • Reveal the social and especially educational problems among the youth population in Gyumri community, capacity building for the socially inactive and excluded youth groups through their education and artistic creativity.

AREA / SUBJECT OF THE FELLOWSHIP

Any of the below mentioned areas can be suggested as the areas of the fellowship programme.

  1. Immovable heritage research, registration, promotion (focused on Gyumri city),
  2. Research and registration of the citizens memories about the social-cultural life in Leninakan (one of the previous names of Gyumri) and modern period via oral stories,
  3. Creating of the off-line (can be combined with on-line) system (methodology) to store and mutually interconnect the different types of information (files) obtained during the field research.
  4. Development of the thematic city tour (for Gyumri). It can be development or editing of the texts, obtaining the relevant photography pictures, graphic design (or editing) of the printing materials created for the promotion CRC tourism activities, including visit cards, leaflets, postcards.
  5. Measurement of the heritage buildings, the architectural details, preparation of the 3D models in different formats.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED FELLOWSHİP ACTIVITY

The expected Fellow will be selecting one of the areas described above. Depending on the profile and capacity of the Fellow, he/she might be involved in more than one activity, and according to the planned activities and the time schedule, the Fellow will cooperatively apply the program with two main staff members of CRC.

EXPECTED PROFILE 

The fellow must have at least an intermediate level in one of the listed skills, disciplines or professions:

  • Journalism,
  • heritage manager/ conservationist/,
  • art historian
  • information (communication) management,
  • creative writing
  • designer (web, graphic)
  • photographer (with own photography set)
  • architect (3d visualization would be advantage)

CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The fellow will be at the office from Monday to Friday; from 10:00 to 18:00 with flexibility, so it can be tailored according to the case.
Fellow will be free on national holidays of the Republic of Armenia.

PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP

Any one from April 2020 to May 2021 can be arranged upon the agreement of the fellow and the host.
