Migration Monitoring Association (MMA) is a civil society organization that is specializing in forced migration, internal displacement, and human rights. The association aims to support people who have been victims of human rights violations in their search for justice, to strengthen social memory about these violations and to disseminate the truth about grave human rights violations to the society at large for the purpose of building a democratic and just future of peace, to support the recognition and reparation of rights violations, to ensure respect, protection and promotion of human rights within the framework of national and international law. Also, it aims to contribute to social peace and democracy through enhancing social memory as well as aims to research social, economic, cultural, demographic, and ecological reasons for migration.
AREA / SUBJECT OF THE FELLOWSHIP
As part of the fellowship activities, the fellow is expected to
- support MMA’s advocacy work on internal displacement and migration, including international fore;
- enhance and support the development of ongoing strategic campaigns work on internal displacement.

- Protect human rights defenders
- Strengthening access to social rights by supporting internally displaced people
EXPECTED PROFILE
- To have knowledge and experience in the field of human rights, migration or internal displacement;
- Knowledge of the issue of migrations and the landscape on migration policies in Armenia;
- To identify and curate technical website content and to have social media literacy (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram);
- To have excellent research skills;
- Fluent knowledge of English
- Knowledge of Kurdish or Turkish is a plus.
CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The fellow is expected to be present at the office at least 3 days / 15 hours per week.
PROPOSED TIME FOR THE FELLOWSHIP
The fellowship activity shall take place for one month between May 2020 - March 2021.
