Dr. Antranik Dakessian is Associate Professor in the Department of Armenian Studies at Haigazian University in Beirut, Lebanon. He is also executive secretary of the annual academic journal, Haigazian Armenological Review, which has been published since 1970, and in that capacity he has solicited and co-edited research papers, supervised the publication and launching of the Haigazian Armenological Review (Vols. 13 to 33), and published a number of research articles. As of the mid-1980s, Dr. Dakessian has conducted research on diverse aspects of the Lebanese Armenian community, particularly on its economic and cultural output.
