PROPOSED FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

ENKA Schools are incorporated as a private institution subject to the laws and regulations of the Turkish Ministry of Education. While the ENKA Foundation has made a substantial contribution necessary to create and sustain capital investment, the school itself exists as an independent non-profit corporation directed by an unsalaried Executive Committee. The school is expected to generate sufficient income to be self-supporting in its day-to-day operations.

We provide a challenging, holistic, values-based education. The school offers a bilingual programme with both Turkish and English used as media of instruction. A bilingual professional community is fostered within the school through language instruction for teachers as well as students. In 2005 the school was authorised to offer both the Primary Years (PYP) and the Diploma (DP) programmes of the International Baccalaureate. The school is currently implementing the IB MYP - Middle Years Programme. These programmes are used as a framework in conjunction with the Ministry of National Education programmes and provide our students with the best of Turkish and international education. As a Round Square school, the school offers a wide range of clubs and activities that focus on global issues, and provides many opportunities for our students to engage with community service and interact with worldwide issues and with schools and students from the global community. We are a national school with a global perspective.
