PROPOSED FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

DVV International proposes fellowship opportunity for the two ongoing projects:

  1. An Audio-Visual Production Specialist who will carry out his/her fellowship activities within the framework of the "Armenia Total (itaris)" project. The project aims at identifying the manifestations of political repressions taken place in the period of Soviet totalitarianism in Armenia and their present social perceptions. The fellow will be engaged in the field work/interviews, shootings, video and photo editing, subtitling and adjustment of various audio and video components, including cameras and microphones.
  2. A Museum Specialist for consultancy and project support to Museum Education Center established in 2014 with the aim to coordinate and support museum activities, by launching educational programmes and promoting the development of innovative ideas among different museums in Armenia. The fellow is expected to assist the Cultural Project Coordinator in designing new innovative projects, organising public events, such as lectures and workshops, writing project proposals for partner museums and conducting fundraising activities. The fellow is welcome to assist the project staff in organising special exhibitions, planning gallery installations, as well as participating in the overall activities of all partner museums. The fellow can propose and arrange an individual exhibition hosted in the partner-museum in consultation with DVV Armenia.

EXPECTED PROFILE

The Audio-Visual Production Specialist is expected to:

  • Be open to learning
  • Be familiar with technologies
  • Have a good command of English
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of social media
  • Extensive knowledge of video and photo editing software

The Museum Specialist is expected to: 

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency either in English or Armenian
  • Have willingness to travel as frequently as needed since we expect visits to regional communities, including overnight stays
  • Experience in project management will be an asset

CONDITIONS OF THE FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The fellow is expected to be present at DVV Armenia for 5 days (up to 5 hours) a week; overtime work may be required during projects' activities.
